The Icelandic horse is a breed that has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought it to Iceland in the 9th century. Enjoy a riding tour on the outskirts of the capital. After the riding experience, enjoy a lunch break before heading to the National Park, Þingvellir, with its unique geological features. At Þingvellir, the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was founded in 930, which makes it the oldest known functioning parliament in the world. We visit the impressive waterfall Gullfoss and the geothermal area around Geysir with its spouting geysers. After a short drive, we will be back in the capital.
